  • Due to the ongoing cedar shingle shortage and sharp price increase, pricing for cedar shingles, including on the Nantucket Boathouse and Cape Cod Cottage, have a surcharge for the cedar shingle siding. ​

Building Year Round, On Site
The Cape Cod Cottage™ is a traditional and historically designed building, only produced by Salt Spray Sheds, that features the highest quality materials and true attention to detail. The 3' transom and a 6' custom transom doors feature Acorn Mfg. forged iron hardware, which complement the white cedar siding and the architectural asphalt roof shingles. Additionally, the Cape Cod Cottage™ offers a 12/12 or 45° angle roof pitch, primed trim, a ridge vent, and double-hung windows with custom window boxes featuring scroll brackets.

The Cape Cod Cottage is perfect for all of your garden storage needs. All the custom features make the Cape Cod Cottage™ a special addition to your yard and landscape.
Our price includes building on site and taxes. For those customers over the bridge, a delivery charge may apply.

STANDARD FEATURES INCLUDED:
  • POSTS: 6'-1" Standard Posts
  • ROOF PITCH: 12/12 45° angle roof pitch. This is the highest roof pitch available.
  • FOUNDATION: 4" x 8" x 16" Solid Concrete Block.
  • FLOOR FRAME: 2" X 6" Pressure Treated Lumber
  • FLOORING:  3/4" CDX Exterior Grade Plywood
  • FRONT DOOR: 3' X 6' single row of glass transom door built with Specialty P5 Radiata Pine. 
    All custom doors must be painted within two weeks of installation or warranty will be voided.
  • GABLE DOOR: 6" X 6' single row of glass transom door built with Specialty P5 Radiata Pine. ​
    All custom doors must be painted within two weeks of installation or warranty will be voided.
    ​*Smaller shed sizes will decrease door size accordingly.
  • HARDWARE: Acorn Made bean style strap-hinges spear design , forged iron handles, black heavy duty safety hasp
  • WINDOW: Double-hung (2), with or without grill
  • WINDOW BOXES: Composite PVC Window Box with secure joints and drainage holes to allow water and comes with mounting brackets. Made in the USA.

  • SIDING: White cedar shingles installed with a 5" exposure.

  • RAMP: 3' ft x 3' and 6' ft. x 3 ft. Pine Ramps

  • HIGHER POSTS: 7’-4” or 8’-0” 
  • FOUNDATION: Concrete piers (sonotubes) or Slab.
  • LOFTS: Lofts come in standard sizes of 2', 4', 6', 8' deep or larger. We also can create a sleeping loft.
  • BENCHES: Sizes per request
  • CUPOLA: Pine or Vinyl Cupola, various sizes available
  • DOORS: Sizes ranging from 3’ to 8’ and beadboard, single and double row transom. Sizes ranging from 3’ to 8’ and beadboard, single and double row transom. Available Fir, Mahogany (Prices Available upon request). All custom doors must be painted within two weeks of installation or warranty will be voided.
  • WINDOWS: Additionally double hung, transom, and casement
  • TRIM: Azek composite , Boral, or red cedar
  • SIDING: Red Cedar Sidewall Shingles, Red Cedar  Clapboard, pre-dipped cedar shingles, Allura fiber cement board.
